Now, how we actually cater for those peaks will depend on what we are looking at. Looking at options for equipment resource levels, one option is obviously to resource at peak.

For example, for conveyer systems in the warehouse it'd be necessary to plan for the peak month, not only that, but the peak hour of the peak day within the peak month, because the conveyer system obviously must be able to cater at the level of volume at that time.

If we are looking at something not quite as fixed as a conveyer system, such as ordinary forklift trucks, which may be available on short rental terms, then we may hire in extra resource at the peak and man up, or equip up to an average, or average plus 10% or so for that.
