Investment is the process of allocating resources into activity that may produce returns in a future period. Example: investment to the cloth factory can bring return on investment through the profit from the sales of clothes.
There is the balance between investment and consumption. Too much consumption will not leave the space for investment, so the wealth could exhaust. Too much investment leaves no resourses for expenditure and increasing the risk in case of too fast investment.
